About Announce	English (USA)
"Announce" is one of two mailing lists (list-serves) provided by the Democratic Party of Clackamas County, Oregon. Each of the lists is unique in the type of information shared between members through e-mail. Unlike "Issue," the "Announce" list is open to non-Democrats on a "read only" basis. Membership requires pre-approval by the List-Serve Administrator. When using "Announce," e-mail file sizes should be kept moderate, and unless circumstances warrant it, no attachments are permitted. A single posting can only be made to one of the two lists. This will be strictly enforced. "Announce" provides members the opportunity to post: Event announcements; Scheduled meeting notices and reminders; Action alerts for upcoming legislation or needed participation for urgent issues on a broad spectrum, i.e., phone calls on bills to legislators, petitions for issues to be forwarded to people of influence, testimony for issues before county commissioners, etc.; and, Notices about related events or organizations. These should be announcements or calls for action, not issue pieces. We invite you to join "Announce." Increase your awareness of upcoming events and knowledge of important issues, while becoming more active in the Democratic Party, including Democrats right here in Clackamas County. Using Announce
To post a message to all the list members, send email to announce@clackamasdemocrats.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Announce
Subscribe to Announce by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
