About Issue	English (USA)
"Issue" is a members-only forum for discussion, posting and debate delivered through e-mail. An e-mail sent to our address is received by all members. This is one of two mailing lists (list-serves) provided by the Democratic Party of Clackamas County, Oregon. As with our other list "Announce," membership requires pre-approval by the List-Serve Administrator. Unlike "Announce," you must be a registered Democrat to join "Issue." You can subscribe below. "Issue" is for posting material of a political nature not appropriate in "Announce" such as: Articles, writings and discussion about the Democratic Party, Democratic candidates, Democrats running for non-partisan office, Democratic officeholders, and Democratic caucuses. Members may post messages from non-affiliated candidates if they see fit; Controversial discussion and articles; Tirades and rants about the political spectrum; Lengthy articles, discussion that weaves a lengthy thread. (sometimes a discussion will start and morph several times in a manner that the discussion is relevant and of interest but continues to evolve from the original point, therefore it isn't time constrained and assumes a life of its own); Humor and satire. Heated debates can and will be allowed as long as common sense and decency are followed. No insults are allowed against other list members. Profanity is not allowed unless it is part of a politically relevant forwarded piece, and then a warning of profanity should be included in the subject line. But users should be cautioned that some material could be upsetting in nature. Attachments of a limited size will be allowed if they are relevant and not totally offensive. (good judgment should be the norm) Attachments must be checked for viruses beforehand. If you don't have anti-virus software, don't use attachments. Using Issue
To post a message to all the list members, send email to issue@clackamasdemocrats.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Issue
Subscribe to Issue by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
